Office 365 - Customer Security Considerations Sheet

The Office 365 Security Features and Considerations report is designed to provide organizations with quick access to the security and compliance features in Office 365 and considerations for using them. All this implemented as a Microsoft Excel workbook, is currently in preview.
Going forward, Microsoft will increase the number of pivots which will increase additional compliance scenarios over the time.

Information in this section is organized into five scenarios:
1. Data Resiliency
Considerations for protecting and recovering information from potential data corruption.
2. Access Control
Things to consider around managing identity and access control using Office 365 and Azure features.
3. Data Leakage
Considerations around using encryption and controlling forwarding.
4. Security and Compliance Investigations
Considerations for conducting compliance searches and forensics investigations, as well as logging and hold actions in Office 365. 
5. Incident Response and Recovery Things to consider around security incident response and recovery.

Another one of a great release for cloud customers those who need all the security and compliance related documents. Office 365 provides customers with a continuous stream of innovative features that provide significant productivity improvements while keeping information highly secure.

Office 365 is subject to continuous independent auditing and assessment of extensive controls that demonstrate Office 365’s compliance with these standards. You can review all the reports below, or select a Region and an Industry, and then click Filter Reports to view the applicable reports. You can also type in key word(s) into the search box to find relevant reports.

Introducing Office 365 Identity in Yammer

Hi All,

Finally an important requirement has addressed and released. Office 365 Identity in Yammer. with this Office 365 sign-in for Yammer, a feature allowing users to access Yammer with their Office 365 credentials and to work across Office 365 applications.

Below is the user’s login experience when Office 365 identity is and is not enforced for Yammer:

1. A user tries to login to Yammer, and is presented with a login dialog box.
2. The user enters his or her email address.
3. When Office 365 identity is enforced, the user is prompted to login with his/her Office 365 identity. If the customer has implemented the federated identity model in Office 365, the user will log in with single-sign-on.
4. When Office 365 identity is not enforced (this is the default setting), if there is an Office 365 account corresponding to the user’s email address, the user is prompted to log in with his or her Office 365 identity.

To Enforce Office 365 Identity in Yammer;

In the Security Settings page, go to the Enforce Office 365 Identity section and select the Enforce Office 365 identity checkbox.

This setting will override any existing Yammer single sign-on (SSO) configuration that was previously done. You do not need to explicitly turn off Yammer SSO before enforcing Office 365 identity. You must be both a Yammer verified administrator and an Office 365 global administrator to see this section.
